|damascus [da-mas-kus] n. An ancient city, widely regarded as the world’s oldest. According to the Bible, Paul became a follower of Jesus on the Road to Damascus. He’d formerly been a persecutor of Christians, but when he met personally with the risen Jesus whilst travelling on the Damascus Road, his life was changed forever.
